Sounding Off
Thanks for your input on the last post. I appreciated your comments very much, for they saved me from putting a lot of time, effort and expense into something that nobody wanted. As I worked on them, the recordings didn’t come out exactly as I had hoped. But I thought I might have a jaundiced ear or something. I was to close to them to really know how bad, or perhaps good, they were. Since your response was overwhelmingly negative, I have a better idea of their quality.
Back to the drawing board. As to your suggestion that I read them myself, I have my reasons for keeping my voice off the Internet whenever I can. Nevertheless, I’m considering taking you up on it at some future date, perhaps for a new site.
As this project draws to a close, I’ve gotten a little time for writing, but more time for future research. I’ll be taking up where I last left off from the FMSF series soon. I had a series planned after that, but I thought it might be wise to break up the Assailing the Tender Age thread with something else, for awhile at least. Lately, I’ve been looking at the following:
Meanwhile, I’ll be getting back to being a blogger fairly soon. Thanks for staying with me.

I had a series planned after that, but I thought it might be wise to break up the Assailing the Tender Age thread with something else, for awhile at least. Lately, I’ve been looking at the following:
1. The murder of Vickie Lynn Morgan
2. The Son of Sam murders
3. The mystery surrounding a blog titled Wit of the Staircase
4. The death of Pope John Paul I
5. The Zodiac murdersI think I’m going to get around to all five of these stories before I end this blog, especially since topics number two, three and five are somewhat interconnected. But if you have a preference, let me know.
Meanwhile, I’ll be getting back to being a blogger fairly soon. Thanks for staying with me.

Well, I hope these are long series because I can't imagine the blogosphere sans the x.dell. .... Unless you Coe in a different incarnation of course.
Believe it or not, pinetop swamp and I were talking about the golden Ganesh just now ... Sort of a spontaneous conversation brought by talking about acting in movies.

I'm intrigued about #3.. and I'm embarrassed to admit I'm always fascinated as to what makes a killer tick, the background as to what made them turn out that way.
You plan on eventually closing this site? I sure hope you will replace it though, huh? I mean, you're not REALLY thinking of running out on us, are you? 'Cos that's pants - but you know that, yeah?
Oh, and thanks, yeah all's well, I'm just pacing myself (wink)..

son of sam was pretty fascinating at the time. The psychological aspects and everything. But I never really learned all the details.

Okay, Shrinky. Glad to see you on the air. As for pacing one's self, I can obviously understand.
Charles, there are perhaps a number of psychological items to examine if what David Berkowitz says now is true--and it's quite possible that it is.

Foam, btw, give my regards to Pinetop Swamp. I really enjoyed his participation in the Ganesh project.

Here's my ranking by interest for what it's worth:
1. The mystery surrounding a blog titled Wit of the Staircase
2. The death of Pope John Paul I
3. The Son of Sam murders
4. The murder of Vickie Lynn Morgan
5. The Zodiac murders
I know nothing about Wit of the Staircase so that's why it ranks so high. The death of Pope John Paul I - hey, I'd like to see your take on that. I've read the books The Vatican Connection by Richard Hammer (that was non-fiction, right?) and Power On Earth by Nick Tosches. Also, the conspiracy theory about how John Paul I really died was used in the third Godfather movie. Son of Sam was (or still is?) doing time in my neck of the woods, Dannemora Prison AKA Clinton Correctional Facility. I heard he became a born again Christian.
Re: doing your own voice recordings. Well, instead of using TTS, how about just a little bit of electronic magic/digital manipulation to disguise your voice -- assuming that's the problem, you don't want people to recognize your voice.

Ray, that's a thought, disguising my voice.
Wit of the Staircase, Son of Sam and Zodiac have some interwoven threads. In part, explaining one is laying the groundwork for explaining the other two. And I can see myself getting into all three at some point.
What strikes me about the Vatican intrigue is what's going on behind the scenes during Pope Paul VI's declining years, and the amazing power connections behind it from the US GOP, the international Mafia, a number of penny ante swindlers, a few high-fallutin' bank presidents, and their nexus at an American Archbishop living in Rome.
In other words, that'll be a series about following the money.
